Acrylic is far superior to PVC. Reasons: ① Acrylic has 92% transmittance vs. PVC’s 75–80%; ② Acrylic has higher hardness (Rockwell M80–100), scratch-resistant; ③ Acrylic contains no plasticizers, does not release harmful gases over time, preventing the figure from “plasticizer leakage” or embrittlement; ④ Acrylic has better UV resistance, slowing figure fading. PVC is cheaper but yellows and softens easily – not recommended for collectible figures.
